The benefits of telehealth speech-language therapy

We understand that people tend to prefer in person speech-language therapy... and we would LOVE people and families all over New Zealand to embrace telehealth speech-language therapy.   Why?  Because telehealth research tells us that telehealth speech-language therapy works.  And because telehealth is the surest, safest, most private, and most efficient, economical, time, energy and cost saving, environmentally friendly way for everybody to get quality speech-language therapy when they want it, wherever they are, whatever their need - and whatever is going on the world.

Telehealth speech-language therapy works in 2 ways

  • Directly, where the Speech-Language Therapist works directly with the person who has communication difficulties.
  • Indirectly, where the Speech-Language Therapist works indirectly with the person who has communication difficulties by supporting their parents, caregivers, or significant others to meet their communication needs.
